Troubles adding another hard drive in openBSD
Hey all, I'm new around here...and very new to openBSD too...but anyways heres the problem -
I've got everything installed nice; it starts up, plays nice, and it works like a charm - however, when i try to add another hard drive (plugged into my promise ultra133tx2) it starts going crazy: Normally it thinks root is on wd0a and /var is on wd0d, but when I add this new (and empty) drive to the mix it thinks that root is on wd1a but still thinks /var is on wd0d. at this point it says something like this: Can't open /dev/rwd0d: Device not configured CAN'T CHECK FILE SYSTEM. /dev/rwd0d: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck_ffs MANUALLY. THE FOLLOWING FILE SYSTEM HAD AN UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY: ffs: /dev/rwd0d (/var) So yeah...does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? If you need more info, just ask and ill happily post it. Thanks! |
Ok so i fixed my problem. I didnt think to change the fstab to reflect the changes in drive names. *sigh* well it works now thankfully. Like I said, im new at this @_@
