Yeah thanks for your hostile approach I guess next time I will say "plead your case for each BSD and why its the best" Because reading the top page only answered basic questions and the link went into a bunch of history I didnt really care about. So thanks PEACEDOG you were the kind of BSD guru I prefure to speak to.

no bsd guru here, i've been running it just a few weeks, and am learning every day, i'm very comfortable w/windows(any version) and linux(several distros). in defense of the sticky, there is a link to more specific info for most *bsd, as well as to documentation for each. my suggestion would be if you've found more info that would be pertinent to the sticky for explanation purposes, post it w/a suggestion that it be added. my defense of Stack's post would be the same as for any other user here at lq. anybody can have a bad day, try not to judge a user on one post alone. take some time to see how helpful they may have been in a # of other posts. one post does not not make the user so to speak. as for my post, well i was having a good day, but, most of my day's are good days. hope this clears up a few things.
good luck.

Bah, stack don't make me warn you
JonChristmas, please read the sticky. If that's not enough for you, follow the links I so painstakingly collected. If you want to read arguments, than search the forum for the exact question you just asked. Hint: it's been asked at least a dozen times before, use the Search button, that's what it's there for!
