Server and database ip


Hi,
I have a linux server links to mysql database server. From the database server I can ping the main server but when I tried to ping from server to the database server, the time is very long which the hop

64 bytes from 203.154.104.236: icmp_seq=2 ttl=255 time=87000.2 ms
64 bytes from 203.154.104.236: icmp_seq=3 ttl=255 time=101090.1 ms
64 bytes from 203.154.104.236: icmp_seq=4 ttl=255 time=175000.2 ms
64 bytes from 203.154.104.236: icmp_seq=5 ttl=255 time=189212.0 ms
64 bytes from 203.154.104.236: icmp_seq=6 ttl=255 time=263000.2 ms
64 bytes from 203.154.104.236: icmp_seq=7 ttl=255 time=277425.1 ms
64 bytes from 203.154.104.236: icmp_seq=8 ttl=255 time=351000.2 ms
64 bytes from 203.154.104.236: icmp_seq=9 ttl=255 time=365637.7 ms
64 bytes from 203.154.104.236: icmp_seq=10 ttl=255 time=440000.2 ms

It was working fine for few months, but suddenly it has this problem and two system can't work properly due to long timeout.

Can any experts help in this problem?

What OSs are involved? You said "Linux" running a "server" connecting to a "MySQL database". What distribution and version of Linux? What platform is running MySQL (OS and version)? What version of MySQL? Etc...

Server : linux os 6.2
Mysql : 3.23 running on linux 8.0
Basically, the two machine was working fine but recently, it has this problem.
