Nvidia Support for fBSD amd64

Hi Forum

What is the status of Driver support for Nvidia GPUs in FreeBSD 8.0 amd64...?

The Proprietary drivers for BSD from Nvidia are for x86... I have an Nvidia 9600M Gforce... does fBSD 8.0 natively supports this...?

I use some heavy graphical appz, like Blender, BRL-CAD...

Will they be allright under fBSD 8.0 amd64...?

They work.
You'll need to to build some of the ports.
You will also need to build the mesa and other dependency libraries in ports. Go to the howto sections at http://forums.freebsd.org there are a few tutorials there.
Got the box running up recently. I use mine by doing nvidia-settings after I login.
Backup your original xorg.conf file with a name such as xorg.conf.orig.bak in the event you have trouble.
