internet with USB cable modem, DHCP
Hi, I'm trying to get connection to internet with freebsd5.2 via Motorola USB 4200 cable modem and an ISP Optus, who use DHCP.
Have read Setting up Network Interface Cards.
I updated my /etc/hosts file with hostname bsd_carl and updated my /etc/rc.conf file with:
ifconfig_plip0="DHCP netmask 255.255.255.0"
my dmesg reports:
ugen0: Motorola Corp SB4200 USB Cable Modem,rev 1.00/1.01 addr 2
When I start mozilla or Konqueror I get "server could not be found" message.
Any ideas on what I still need to do to ?
Thanks
