I've read that my wireless PCI card(based on the RaLink RT2500 chipset) is supported by OpenBSD. Can anyone tell me how I would go about installing it?
Can anyone tell me how I would go about installing a graphical web browser?
According to the OpenBSD documentation my card is supported, so I should not need to load any drivers. I apparently have to sort out a mess of configuration issues though.
Does it list any info about your wireless card? If so, all you need to do is configure it with the SSID, encryption key, channel etc and it should work.
The OpenBSD documentation says that my card has 40 and 104 bit encryption. This is not true, my card has 64 and 128 bit encryption. I know my card does have some functionality because I happened upon my neighbor's (unencrypted) network.
When I try to configure the card, it will not let me input a 26 digit hex key. Am I suppose to use "wicontrol" or some other command? Or is the encryption feature just not supported by the drivers that come with OpenBSD?
Is there a way I can do a scan and see a list of available networks?
