i have a partition which is unused but in free bsd manager that partition is not showing up Why?....in fdisk when i click "display all partition" that partition is not coming up but when i click "Create new Partition" i can see the unused space there...whats up with that parition, why is that happening pls help.

Maybe a silly question, but did you actually create a partition there, or is it just unpartitioned free space? If it is a partition, what kind is it (e.g. FAT32, ext2, etc.)?

i tried both the ways keeping it unpartitioned and as well as paritioned but i cant see in the partition both ways what i can see when i kept it as unparitioned was just liltle unused space about 3MB and my parimary parition adn my extented parition.and when i kept it as a paritioned space what i was able to see is my parimary n extented partitions n about very lil unused space.
