I'm thinking of installing a BSD

Hey guys, I've been thinking of maybe installing a BSD to see if it's any good for my system, the only thing I'm concerned about is if my wireless card will work at all in any of the BSD's

I have an Inventel UR054g, It uses the Prism54 Chipset, and on my current linux set-up it uses "isl3887usb" firmware.

Does anybody know whether it will work with something like FreeBSD or OpenBSD?

It works in FreeBSD:
The upgt(4) driver man 4 upgt supports USB 2.0 Conexant/Intersil PrismGT series wireless adapters based on the GW3887 chipset.
Hardware support :Inventel UR045G
Warning :
This driver requires the upgtfw firmware to be installed before it will work.
It only available from package, Download it at http://weongyo.org/project/upgt/upgt....13.1.0.tar.gz, and install it by pkg_add (man 1 pkg_add).
Description:
upgt supports software WEP, but is not enabled by default; for security reasons.
upgt driver can operate in 2 modes:
1- BSS Mode(Infrastructure) : associating with an access point
2- Monitor Mode : Without associating with an access point
Bug::
The upgt driver just supports the USB 2.0 devices (GW3887 chipset) butnot the USB 1.0 devices containing the NET2280, ISL3880, and ISL3886 chipsets.
History:
The upgt driver first appeared in OpenBSD 4.3.

Reverse engineered at : http://www.prism54.org/
