FreeBSD - 64 or 32bit
i am wanting to start working with freebsd
i have an amd64 in the machine what would be easier to run. 32 or 64 i have heard at least with linux, some apps you need to re-compile to 32bit to get to work. thanks |
i believe you should go for 64 bit - the freebsd ports system usually compiles new software when you download it anyway...

I would use 64 get the most out of your system.

I agree.
Take advantage of that processor of yours. Given the massive amounts of time the FreeBSD team takes for testing I don't think there should be any stability issues with the 64-bit version. |
