ethernet card 3C 905c TX :cant map port memory on fbsd4.9
 

Hello guys,

I had a realtek eth-card that worked perfectly under linux.

I tried to make it work under fbsd 4.9 and got a "couldn't map port memory error". So checked around & I found out realtek cards are the worst s...ever made.

Then I bought a 3com (for twice the price):

couldn't map port memory !!! & the system reboots.

Of course, the xl driver is present in the kernel, i tried to change the port too, but the error persists.

The situation is worse than with the realtek: I "boot -s" for the single mode & the system directly reboot too when it got the error.

Any suggestions ??
