/etc/rc.d/named restart issue (command not found)

Guys,

Have a weird issue going on
I have bind9 installed BIND 9.6.-ESV-R3 on freebsd 8.2 and I cannot use the command /etc/rc.d/named restart anymore. I get everytime "command not found"
named is working. I have no issue there but the only way i can restart it is by rebooting the server. Not really convenient

Any help is much appreciated

repo, thanks for replying.
On freeBSD 8.2 from what I understood the restart has to be made by rc.d where the script is.
