Does the mounting of a *BSD partition on linux work well when rw ?
Hello all
I have a partition with FreeBSD, and another with Ubuntu. I've mounted the BSD partition on Ubuntu as read-only, and I was wondering if the ufs support on linux is good enough to allow a rw mouting ? Are they any risk that Ubuntu damages my FreeBSD partition while writing on it ? Thanks a lot ++ |
As far as I know you can only mount ufs as read only in Linux.

In fact, it's unclear for me.
This text file from 1999 states that rw on ufs1 is supported. But I have read somewhere that ufs2 wasn't. |
Learning by doing: I've tried to mount the partition as rw, but this was refused. So, it doesn't work at all.
