Darwin Case System

I have heard darwin has a unique way of dealing with cases. I couldn't find anything about on the darwin website and i was wondering if anyone uses darwin and could explain it to me.

Cases? What kind of cases are you talking about? Perhaps you could clarify your question a little bit.

I thought the command line was not case sensitive or something like that.

So far all the Darwin commands I use involve no upper case characters

Well SFAIK, Mac OS 10 is case insensitive for commands, but not for file/directory names. I haven't taken the time to actually verify that, but so far that has been my experience. I would expect Darwin to behave the same since it's essentially Mac OS minus Aqua.

In the over all scale of importance, that is not really any thing to get excited about IMHO. MS DOS is case insensitive for commands, but it still pales in comparison to any *n*x OS.

I have not used Darwin as an OS, though I hear it runs well as a small Unix OS. As the Mac OS X terminal it's very powerful
