Creating ufs (freebsd) Partitions
Hello, my system currently has two harddrives i just want to use secondary hdd on my another FreeBSD 5.3 system.
root@trinity [~]# fdisk -l
Disk /dev/hda: 120.0 GB, 120034123776 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 14593 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 13 104391 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 14 14479 116198145 83 Linux
/dev/hda3 14480 14593 915705 82 Linux swap
Disk /dev/hdb: 120.0 GB, 120034123776 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 14593 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hdb2 14 14479 116198145 a5 FreeBSD
Previously /dev/hdb2 was ext2 then i used fdisk /dev/hdb and changed filesystem to a5 (FreeBSD). But unfortunately i can't mount that partition under linux.
Here what i got:
root@trinity [~]# mount -t ufs -o ufstype=44bsd /dev/hdb2 /home2
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb2,
or too many mounted file systems
root@trinity [~]# mount -t ufs -o ufstype=ufs /dev/hdb2 /home2
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb2,
or too many mounted file systems
root@trinity [~]# mount -t ufs -o ufstype=ufs2 /dev/hdb2 /home2
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb2,
or too many mounted file systems
root@trinity [~]# mount -r -t ufs -o ufstype=ufs2 /dev/hdb2 /home2
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb2,
or too many mounted file systems
root@trinity [~]# mount -t ufs /dev/hdb2 /home2
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb2,
or too many mounted file systems
Is there way to mount it ? Or did i miss something to make it work.
Thank you for replies.
