Create better FreeBSD magazine!
Hi FreeBSD users!
We have just decided to open and enter the American market a new - totally devoted to FreeBSD magazine.
To meet your expectation, I would like to invite you to active cooperation in creating new magazine.
What about the profil of magazine? Have you got any special themes, you would like to read about?
What do you think about regular sections such as:
1. What's new
(about newly released and future FreeBSD projects, IT events and other FreeBSD related issues)
2. Get start it!
(theory through practice! - that is how to install, configure and work with different FreeBSD based programs, applications)
3. How-Tos
(Step-by-step tutorials showing instructions on how to accomplish a specific task)
4. Admin
(administration section)
5. mms (Multimedia Section)
6. Tips & Trics
(a regular section where you'll find many useful tips & tricsc)
7. Let's Talk
8. In the next issue
(You'll find here a clue what you can expect in the next issue)
Finally, which title and profil of magazine would you prefer to get:
1. *BSD magazine - which would appeal to a wider range of users ( it would be intended to FreeBSD, OpenBSD and NetBSD)
or
2. FreeBSD magazine - totally devoted to FreeBSD and FreeBSD - related issues
Please, don't hesitate to inform us about all your suggestions...
In other wordd: help us to create the FreeBSD magazine you need ...

.. who exactly are you, kasia, and what do you do for a living? Do you have the power and knowledge to start a magazine? What country are you from, where do you currently live? Are you talking about hard-copy magazines? Does your team (should you have one) have the knowledge to write technical articles that are not resumes of the FreeBSD Handbook? Etc.

Hi,
I am an editorial assistant in Software Wydawnictwo.
I am sure you have heard about any of our magazines before. The most popular (i.e. PHP Solutions, Hakin9, Linux+, .PSD, SDJ and many others) are issued in five language versions (German, French, Spanish, Polish and Czech) and distributed in Germany, France, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland as well as Portugal, Morocco, Mexico and Canada.
Our interest, as you can see, includes not only commercial products- many articles and even whole issues are devoted to open technologies related to Linux system or Open Source software.
I am currently preparing Linux+DVD magazine. It's a quaterly totally devoted to Linux and Open Source- related issues, distributed all over the US and Australia (we also are currently entering the UK market).
Now have decided to start a new American version of FreeBSD
magazine. That's why I am writing to you.
For more details about our publications, editorial team and the strategy we are preparing technical magazines, please visit i.e.:

Hello,
It's seems like a good idea, though I'd like to see one more devoted to BSD Unix, than solely focused on just one version of it. That way those who use other flavors (like NetBSD) would feel like they had a magazine for them, too - which would increase subscribers. It would also open up more topics to be covered and I'd imagine that a good deal of topics could be applied to all of them.
Some of the topics I'd like to see in such a magazine would be upcoming developments, configuring hardware, programming, software critiques, etc.
