Change Default XFree to 1024x768 mode

FreeBSD 4.7
Anybody know how to change the Default XFree86 mode? I need 1024x768
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config. Does not indicate default mode I tried adding a section "modes" but it did not work.

/stand/sysinstall
Postinstall config| Config Xfree server | I like ncurses -textmode | OK on mouse | config screen

choose dpeth
make sure 1024 x is checked
choose finish

Write and quit
(mine always says it seems to have failed but saves it anyway...)

Try that for a start
