Can you install freebsd from boot-only cd through FTP?
I want to know before I burn three discs instead of one. I want to use FreeBSD, but it takes forever to download three disc images, and I don't want to waste discs.
Yes, that's one of the main uses of the bootonly cd.
sysinstall will allow you to configure your machine's IP (static or dhcp client) and then you'll have the option of installing using an ftp or http source. There is a list of, e.g., ftp servers provided that you can choose from.
