Anyone get FreeBSD installed with a wireless keyboard?
 

I wanted to install FreeBSD tonight, but when I booted in to the Install CD, and get to the install screen, I couldn't get the keyboard to select anything. Pressing enter did not do anything either.

I got a Logitech Wireless Desktop Optical keyboard, works fine in Linux, but it does not seem to work in the FreeBSD install environment.

Anyone got any suggestions?

I am trying to install FreeBSD 5.4-RELEASE

This is not meant to sound mean, but have you checked your batteries? I have the exact same setup you describe and it was simply a matter of plugging the keyboards wireless hub into my ps2 slot and that was it.

The batteries are fine since I am using it right now with no problems. But I will try with it connected to the PS2 slot.

I am also successfully using a wireless keyboard; a Logitech Desktop iTouch (the original, with separate mouse/keyboard receivers and a "balled" mouse).

I have had the exact problem you describe -- but that was with Debian. Otherwise, no trouble.

I have had problems with usb wireless keyboards on some Linux distros so I always suggest using ps2 instead.

Well it is solved..

1. I failed to notice the "USB Keyboard" option

2. I got a new wired keyboard that has a PS2 connector.

I have used RoFreeSBIE Live CD with a Microsoft weirless keyboard and it worked.
Initialy won't worked because the F-lock was not pressed.
