Adding SSH username/password

I've spent my spare time for the past few days searching on the Internet and reading man pages trying to figure out how to add another SSH login (username/password) to my server but to no avail. I was just wondering if anyone can point me to the correct config file or give me the syntax for a command to add another SSH username/password. I have a fair amount of experience with Unix but am pretty new with configuring a server.

By the way the server is running FreeBSD 5.3 with the default version of SSH that is installed with it.

SSH is working with the usernames that were setup during the installation of the OS.

Thanks in advance!

I removed the account, added it again, and now it works. I must have done something wrong the first time I added the user.
