Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.29-ARCH
Distribution: Archlinux

I bought this as a barebone system, with no RAM, HDD or wireless. purchased in this way it is called the ms-1221. purchased as a pre-built, it's called the PR200. System76 once sold this laptop as the daru2.

for the most part it's a solid laptop, all the hardware you can't take out works with linux (with the disclaimer that I haven't tried the 56k Modem, or the fingerprint reader, but from what I've read the fingerprint reader should be able to be made work.)

Unfortunately, power management is an issue. suspend to ram doesn't work, and there's an issue where every now and then sometime after boot, the kernel loses track of the battery, and it reads as being empty. This is extrordinarily frustrating and is the main reason I wouldn't reccomend this laptop for use with linux.

Nice laptop. Works under FC11 with last updates without problems, excluding:
1.Suspend to RAM
2.WEB camera.
3.Finger reader (saw reports that it works, but did not tried).
