hdc: SAMSUNG CD-R/RW SW-408B, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
This drive does 8x8x32 recording. It does not work correctly with DMA or IDE-SCSI so you should disable both of those. In Mandrake 9.0, the defaults make the PC crash so you should change them.
