Description: This is an 802.11g cardbus network card, from one of several manufacturers using the Ralink rt2500 chip. Unlike the notorious Texas Instrument chips the manufacturer has open-sourced their driver, and there is an active and helpful support forum at

http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/phpBB2/

It is easy to compile the driver if you have the source for your current kernel. Everything I have tried has worked beautifully, including ad-hoc mode and WPA encryption. Compared to less well-supported hardware this is just a dream. Check the above forum and associated sourceforge project for other manufacturers using this rt2500 chip.
