Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.7
Distribution: Debian Unstable

I initially bought this card as I mistakenly thought it would be supported by the Prism54 drivers which are mature and in the 2.6.7 kernel. However after buying the card I found it's not. However do not let this put you off as the nice people at Ndiswrapper have written an excellent piece of software which will get you up and running in a matter of minutes:

http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/

All users check this page out first:
http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Installation

Debian users check this page out also:

The only gripe I have with this setup and this has nothing to do with functionality is that Gnome Wireless Monitor will not report properly when running ndiswrapper as far as I can make out but I'm sure this will be fixed sooner or later.

Good luck
Jon

Kernel (uname -r): 2.4.28
Distribution: Slackware 10

Cards that use the prism54 drivers are relatively easy to get working in slackware.
The driver has been incorporated into the 2.6.7 kernel and backported to the 2.4.28 kernel.
The driver can also be applied with a kernel patch.

The driver is easiest to use in Slackware 10 as Pat incorported a script donated by a prism54 user into the network initiation scripts as described in this post

[URL=Prism54 init scripts for Slackware 9.1 (Already in 10)

I downloaded the 2.4.28 kernel, recompiled the kernel with prism54 as a module.
As per usual with a new kernel the Alsa drivers need to be redone.

The firmware is available here or can be taken off the windows driver disk
