Description: a Dell Inspiron that came with windows 2000 pro, I installed mandrake 9.1from the three iso's with out any dificulty.

It has a ATI Radeon Mobility M6 graphics card. I had a bit of trouble getting the tv out function of it to work untill I found a tool called atitvout that did the trick after some experimentation. Though I havn't been able to make it display to the TV and its LCD at the same time yet. It could do that under windows.

I primarily use it as a mythfrontend rig for the mythtv tivo like application for it fits neatly and quiotly in with my home theater components.

Knoppix 3.7 detected everything perfectly. Now my touchpad and pointerstick work, which RH 9 couldn't manage. I installed to the HD with "knx2hd". went smooth, and since i had already partitioned for dual boot it was cake. I can't speak for those who would have to repartition using the utility.
