Description: Notebook made in Taiwan, sold in Thailand as "ATEC". Dual-boot Windows 98 (rarely used) and Thai Linux TLE (based on Red Hat 8). Comes with no drivers for Windows 98 but some of the Windows ME drivers work. ATEC installed LinuxTLE and everyting works fine except there is no driver for the WinModem so I had to add a Xircom credit card modem. I bought this model because it's got all kinds of ports - serial, parallel, USB, etc. - that I can connect to the other computers that I have to support.
