First Install with SuSE linux 9.0 was very easy. pretty much every thing worked 'out of the box'.
The modem works with the hsflinmodem driver, you can still get the source for the beta version here http://www.int21.de/conexant/ , or pay for the new verion here http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/...-suse-x86.html.
Recently I'm a bit concerned with it's performance however, on occassion the whole machine slows right down, even if I reboot. I notice a lot of this in the syslog i8253 count too high! resetting.. which I believe is something to do with the motherboard. I'm not that hardcore, so I'm afraid I can't confidently say it's not my baffooning that's responsible. I still enjoy using the machine, I'm contemplating trying gentoo some rainy sunday.
