Installed the downloaded Mandrake 10-Community Install disks and installed with external HD connected. It installed and mounted automagically. No config needed.

I was very pleasantly suprised....Good Job to someone at mandrake for making something work seemlessly.

Works a treat, fstab automagically updated new device.

No configuration needed, unless device mount location that is automagically added to fstab is not desirable. Other than that, plug in & mount.
