Mandrake 10.1o worked best for me with this laptop. With Manrake was able to hibernate but not suspend. Also tried Ubuntu, Fedora and Knoppix. All had the following issues: - No working power management (with the above expection)
- The lcd > external > lcd&external function key never worked in X, although I could use both if I started the computer with an external plugged in.

Purchased refurbished in a truckstop.
While hardly a top of the line computer, it is perfectly compatible with Linux. I've had no problems installing and running Linux on this machine.

I have used the LiveCD with this computer, and as far as I can tell, everything works perfectly with all three variants of Ubuntu. As soon as I get they keyboard and screen fixed and upgrade the HD to a larger one, I'll be installing it and testing out other distros.
