Description: Red board with large copper heat sink with fan. Has VIVO adapter with RCA and S-Video style connectors for in and out. VGA and DVI outputs, or 2 VGA when used with the supplied DVI-to-VGA adapter. NVIDIA linux drivers support nearly all features fully, especially video out.
AGP 8X, but works with 4X (confirmed) and possibly lower. MSI driver does not work well in Windows XP, though NVIDIA driver works great (though no one here cares). Great software package. Heatsink and fan keep cool enough for overclocking.

No problems what so ever with this card so far. I purchased it to do some gaming on my linux box. It's preformed quite well with KOTOR under point2play/winex, and also with the Neverwinter Nights linux client. UT2004 also preformed quite well.

I got a new Dell 2001FP LCD display that has a DVI input and can do 1600x1200 resolution. To take advantage of the DVI feature I needed a new graphics card.

I had 3 main criteria in selectin a new card:
1) DVI port
2) Ease of installation and configuration
3) Lowest possible noise (ie no fans on card).

This card met all my needs. Nvidia has better linux support, this card came with a DVI port and it uses passive cooling.

I installed the card in my system, ran xorgconfig and selected the generic Nvidia driver ('nv'). Then I fired up KDE. The display was _BEAUTIFUL!_ . The difference between VGA and DVI is night vs. day.

There were no hic-ups the card worked flawlessly.
I haven't bothered to install the Nvidia specific drivers since I don't see the need. As understand it, the drivers are primarily for 3D accerlation which is beyond my needs. That aside, the 2D performance of the card in DVI mode is outstanding.
