Description:

Works great on many distros and kernels (I have tested 2.2.x and 2.4.x). Nice FPS. Also has TV output, which works if you configure it in XF86Config.
The install procedure I used under Redhat 7.x is explained below. It's obviously dated, and you would want the latest RPMs, so your YMMV.
* Save the following source RPMs to /usr/src/redhat/SRPMS
http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86_4...0-2960.src.rpm
http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86_4...0-2960.src.rpm
* Build and install the RPMs
o cd /usr/src/redhat/SRPMS
o rpm --rebuild NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2960.src.rpm
o rpm --rebuild NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-2960.src.rpm
o cd /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386
o rpm -ivh NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2960.rpm
o rpm -ivh NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-2960.rpm
* Run the Xconfigurator program to generate a skeleton XF86Config-4 file
o Don't let it probe for the card
o Set the memory size accordingly (e.g. 64MB)
o Skip the test at the end
* Open the file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
o comment out Load GLcore and Load dri
o change Driver "nv" to Driver "nvidia"
