never had any problem whatsoever with the processor. i have a nforce2 FIC AU31 mobo and EVERYTHING worked fine. no probelms whatsoever with anything in MEPIS, in both 2.6 and 2.4 kernels. sound worked OOB and the nic was detected but i had used a pci card nic cause i couldnt get the integrated one working with longhorn. i never tried the integrated nic, but it shows up and everything.
in other news,
sound dosent work in mandrake 10.0but the external nic did. didnt have any problems with the processor either.
