Mandrake installs the HP print and scanning driver. Sane is configured as is Cups.

The print quality is really good and speed more than descent.

Scanning works flawlessly.

Not tried photo printing yet but the printer autodetect the paper quality and prints with the relevant quality.

Printer works excellent, memory card reader works excellent.

One problem: I haven't managed to get the scanner to work. I've tried it on Debian Sarge and Redhat 9...perhaps my USB controller is quirky? HPOJ drivers detect the device and CUPS prints just fine, but the scanner is a whole 'nother matter...

Anyway, the scanner's a pretty critical component of the product, and seeing as how I couldn't get it to play nice with Linux (note, it works under Windows XP) I can't give it more than a four. Great printer, though.
