This is a shady, low-quality camera, but suprisingly, it works in Linux. You may find similar models, from different companies, all using the same chipset. The latest version of libgphoto2 supports this camera, just use the auto-recognize feature. This will label it as an Argus DC-1510, which also uses the same chipset. This works fine.
It connects with a USB cable. It has 2 modes, with two options. It can take VGA photos (640x480) and QVGA (320x240), with high and low compression. Here is a guide showing how many pictures you can take with each.
VGA+Low Compression: 26 Photos
VGA+High Compression: 52 Photos
QVGA+Low Compression: 104 Photos
QVGA+High Compression: 209 Photos
The photos are not very high quality, and may need color adjustement in The Gimp.
It also has an option to auto-shoot, ie, you press the button, and it takes a photo in 10 seconds. One can also make a 'movie'. These work under Windows, but I have not had a chance to get this to work in Linux. Also advertised is a webcam function, this crashed my Windows computer, and I have no idea how to implement it in Linux.
The instruction manual is translated from Japanese. It is generally easy to understand, but one does come across phrases like 'It is not noticed prior to design change'.
The camera itself is very slick looking, fits easily in the palm of your hand (it is about credit-card sized), and is very cool.

I can confirm this camera to work as both a stills camera and a webcam.
It is recognised as an "Argus DC 1510" in KDE's Digikam software, but goes under many aliases.
As for webcam the sqcam driver will work with it, found here http://sqcam.sourceforge.net/
I have got it to "work" with xawtv and kopete, however kopete seems to give a nasty green fine grid over the image and updates much slower than xawtv.
Overall a rubbish bit of kit and I'm amazed it works!
(mine goes by the name of "precision" btw)

i also own this camera and want to use it as a webcam.
but the only thing it got working is download ding the pictures i already have taken.
I downloaded the sqcam from sf.net... with the tusb-command i can download the pictures. but how can I take a new picture from the console? this is neccessary for the webcam-mode ?!
How did you use this camera as a webcam?
