ACPI problems cause a hangup after Linux is running, at the screensaver interval. APIC causes the boot process to hang. Therefore need to add 'acpi=off' and 'noapic' to the 'append=' line in Lilo. Then works flawlessly.

Works rock solid, never ever had a problem with it.
