The $30.00 price is after rebates.
Easy access from Linux (with USB mass-storage in the kernel).
Hot pluggable, but the device designation can change.
I.E. sda4, sdb4, etc...

I was surprised at how easy I was able to get this device up and running. I have had this connected since I was running the 2.4.18 kernel.

About the only issue is access to the drive is SLOW. I was able to read DOS formatted ZIP discs just fine but the access was sluggish and my overall system performance seemed to degrade as well. I'm running a Pentium II 350MHz box. :)

Overall, this device works well with Linux! :)

Peace...
