I didn't initially expect it to work, but to my surprise it was found immediately upon booting my system. I am running Slackware 9.1 with a stock kernel (includes USB core, USB mass storage).

Device was designated /dev/sda1, and after adding an entry in my /etc/fstab I use it just like another disk drive.

I have encountered no problems with this device on my system.

Had no problems with it on Mandrake 10. Plugged it in the USB, powered on my workstation and it was detected and mounted (/mnt/removable) with no interaction. Also a 'removable drive' icon appeared on my Gnome desktop.

Paid £16.99 (£19.94 inc p&p) ($30.50/$35.75 approx) from http://www.mymemory.co.uk, who's delivery was also pretty good.

Would recommend as a multi-format reader with xD capabilities.

Takes quite long to mount thing under SUSE (~ 60 seconds), but no manual operations are involved.

Works great. On boot-up, each slot gets detected. Here's the dmesg for that:

I've only used it for Compact Flash and XD cards, but they're automatically detected and mounted upon insertion. Using 2 card-slots simultaneously is fine, too.

Faults:
Sometimes, a freshly inserted card is not detected (the second indicator light on the device won't come on). Unplugging and replugging the USB cord gets it working.
