Difficult install, but drivers do finally exist, so it should get easier in the future.
No matter what other webpages say, Gigafast surrepititiously changed the chipset inside this stick, going to a modified Zydas 1201 chipset. The only drivers you will be able to use are at:
http://linux-lc100020.sourceforge.net/
Getting this stick to works requires patching the kernel, building the drivers, and mucking about with them until some random plug/unplug insmod/rmmod interactions make it work.
The range is also rather poor; I use daisy-chained usb cables to get the dongle into a place that gets good reception--so I have a half-wired wireless network!
Overall, it may be cheap or free, but it requires hours of time to get going. Get a better card.
