Great sounding card, wasn't the easiest card to get working w/ linux. 2.6.x is easier than 2.4.x, but it can be done.
I use the firewire port for my ipod too!

Great card, great sound!
Personally found best to use the ALSA system rather that the OSS driver, I have a 5.1 setup and have full surround both for dvds and emulated for mp3s/cds.
Despite currently no support for the high qualitys provided by this card (24bit/192kHz) its still is great to listen to!

I got the Audigy 2 ZS Gamer Limited Edition at Fry's. No problems using the ALSA drivers.

No problems using ALSA.
One thing to remember, when using alsaconf to setup the card initially, the alsamixer program must be used to enable Analog audio (which most people use). If you use the Digital output, ignore this:
Open a term or from console type alsamixer, go over to the right to "Audigy A" and press . (The Period Key) (This will turn Analog output ON)

Easy to install. ALSA drivers had better sound quality than OSS.
EDIT: Apparantly it works with surround according to someone above, so I'll take his word for it.

after F3 removed ISA support had to upgrade.... this works well once you get a driver from ALSA.

You need to enable/unmute the "Audigy Analog/Digital Output Jack" to get it to work.

All my 8 speakers (7.1) were pluged in correctly bebore installing Mandrake.
Once installed XMMS played an MP3 through all 8 speakers no problems.
I fiddling with Kmix (Alsamixer) there is a setting that is a feature of the card but will cause problems for some.
Analog/digital when MM (Muted) digital speakers are required.
This isnt a hassle as it is a feature of the card that has been implemented.
(card is fully functional and sound quality is on par with Official Creative Drivers for Windows)

Installed using ALSA drivers - had some hiccups but nothing too hard to overcome.
Great sound too, compared to the old onboard chip!

The Audigy 2 ZS Gamer Limited Edition installed quite well on SUSE Linux 10.1. The only problem was that I needed to change the 'analog/digital output' switch to hear sound. I feel this should default to analog as that's what most people use. Sounds great with alsa.

I got the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum (because of the remote) and it worked out of the box, except the remote (gotta love lirc).
