This category is not wide enough because there are many models under the Diamond SupraExpress model name.
The model I have experience with is the 56i Sp Intl model and I can confirm that it works with linux and that it is not a winmodem.

I use SupraExpress 56e PRO external modem...no problems...

well all the phones in the house ring, when modem is plugged into a
two way socket thingy. Regardless of operating system, got a dodgy modem I think.

works fine though when plugged directly into phone socket.

i have a SupraExpress 56i PCI and asfas as I know its WInd-modem and is not working.

I removed it for irq freeing.

now i have a alcatel router, better.further i agree with the first , alot off diamond variations.
on suse few compatible
 is offline
