Description: I had quite a bit of trouble getting this card to work on my Red Hat 9 box. After setting it up through the wizard, I initially had problems with the isdn service failing to start up. This was recitified by changing the RESOURCES line in /etc/sysconfig/isdncard to RESOURCES="protocol=2 type=36 id=HiSax"

Thsi did not sort the problem out entirely as I had to make the following changes before my ISDN card was up and running:

1. /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts i have changed ifcfg-isdn0 to be named ifcfg-ippp0 and content of file is also changed to have

code:DEVICE=ippp0

2. in /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices

ifcfg-PROVIDER is changed

code:DEVICE=ippp0

and that was it to get everythinggoing.

Happy surfing.

I've had some trouble getting this card work, but i think it was because of the lack of information than for the compatibility... i've P-IN100-ST-D and from what i've read, there are two different chipsets for this card:

-winbond 6692
(modprobe hisax id=my_id protocol=2 type=36)

-HFC 2BDS0
(modprobe hisax id=my_id protocol=2 type=35)

My debian didn't see it because of this, i keeped to set it to 36 instead of 35... once the card is seen by the linux, it's a joke, it's only a matter of configuring the network interface of isdnctrl with the various parameters
