Works flawlessly on my system, only had to enable three modules with modprobe; joydev, gameport and sidewinder.

Use the 'sidewinder' module. I built it during my most recent kernel recompile. Also, I built the 'gameport' module into the kernel. If you connect this controller to the gameport on a Soundblaster Live! card, make sure you have 'emu10k1' and 'emu10k1-gp' modules loaded.
