Description: This is really a very nice printer for its price.

It works -extremely- well under Linux.

My setup uses CUPS, and the hpijs driver (all in portage, if you use gentoo).

Simply open the cups configuration (At localhost:631), and add the printer, if its connected to the computer, it should even show up in CUPS's "Devices" list, as the first USB printer.

Happy Printing!

Works in cups without a hitch with the hpijs driver.

the printer its selfe is shottily made, I had to saw off two tabs used for ejecting papers to get it to work. And it does go kind of slowly, but as said before, you cant beat the price.

I agree, this printer has worked out-of-the-box on my Ubuntu since the first relase (Warty) and the print quality is very good.
The only drawback is that it is much slower than under win32, and probably it uses color cartrige to print black color. I think it is also the cause of slower printing.
But - taking into account extremely low price - I can recommend this device without doubts.
