Works well with both 'nv' (coming with XFree) and 'nvidia' (downloaded from www.nvidia.com) drivers. First one without acceleration, second one - with. Good performance in games and benchmarks I tried.

It looks it needs a cooler in my case when I use resolutions from 1600x1200 with this card (hangs the machine after some time), in lower resolutions works nicely with radiator only.

I have to admit the only games I played with it was tuxracer and foobilliard, but under those environments the card worked very well. I tested with both the 'nv' module and the 'nvidia' and I have to say that the acceleration is well worth the effort, if you are concerned with fps.

nv comes with Xfree and nvidia is from www.nvidia.com (or for debian users apt-get install nvidia-kernel-source

Used with driver from NVIDIA (which installed without a hitch).
TuxRacer and FlightGear both run smooth, Celestia as well.
I watch movies of all different formats including DVD.
I've never had a hiccup, though I keep my resolution at 1024x768.

Can anyone tell me how the XF86 config file has to look like, I just ruin my config file everytime, and have to reïnstal linux slackware 9.1 with the standard bare.i kernel

Works great with nv or nvidia drivers. No problems at all.

Works great with the nvidia driver, I couldn't get X to display anything until installing the driver from the nvidia site.

Works well both with built-in XF86 driver ('nv') and also with nVidia-distributed driver ('nvidia'). Runs perfectly at 1280x1024 px resolution, 24-bit color-depth. One interesting thing - with 'nvidia' driver, screen is shifted horizontally by some noticeable amount (maybe ~32 px?) from screen position with 'nv' driver. But the nVidia drivers do the same thing in Windows XP Pro, too; by the same amount.

Works perfect for me. Got my tv-out to work, 3d is awesome; play ut2004 religiously on it. I get a better frame rate than when booted in windows xp.

Using the built-in driver that x.org uses by default, it's nothing to cheer about, except that it displays video. For example, GLX is really slow, if it works at all. But, using the official drivers from NVidia's website (http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux.html) it works and performs wonderfully. There is a slight issue with AGP (which admittedly, I don't know much about): on boot-up insmod gives an error for AGP GART; but commenting out the line "/sbin/modprobe agpgart" in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules fixes that. I've heard that the NVidia drivers include their own AGP stuff, so this is probably the reason why it is safe to comment out this line. All in all, this is a good card that works great under Linux.

This came with my Dell 8300 system. Nice card with relatively good graphics. Only gets an 8 because the built in driver can be a little sluggish at times. But it was automatically detected and configured during installation.

awesome video card, works perfectly using nvidia driver, no issues with it.

Default driver worked so-so, but had problems with openGL performance.

I downloaded the nvidia driver, and it works great. No complaints, video is smooth and crisp.

Default driver is standard stuff. The driver provided by nVidia is wonderful. Installed without a hitch, configured X for me, why can't all manufacturers be this Linux friendly? 3D performance is amazing. It runs Quake3 at 1280x1024 resolution with 83fps and all bells and whistles on. All 3D apps run silky smooth. If you get this card you want the nVidia driver.

works great with the nvidia driver downloaded from their site... I run on this old card, games like NFS U2 (Mandriva) Collin Mcrea Rally, Quake3, AOE Warcraft TFT, and so on .... no issues...

Works fine for me. I had serious issues with the TV out looking bad (kind of interlaced or something). Once I downgraded to the NVidia 8776 drivers (http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_1.0-8776.html) the problem went away. I am currently using it with MythTV and XvMC to display HD content on a SD TV via S-Video and it works great. I can't comment on the 3D performance since I don't use it to play games.

This card has performed perfectly for me since day one.

It works well with one display or two. Currently I use dual screens (monitor and television as separate X screens) using Xinerama, with my monitor at 1600x1200 and the TV at 1027x768. I have never experienced lockups or heat issues related to the card, that I am aware of.
The default 'nv' driver works fine, but performance increases dramatically using the -9631- driver from nVidia's website.
nVidia driver takes care of 'DRI' so don't use that option in xorg.conf.
My GLX stats: ~1380 FPS running glxgears at its default window size, at 1600x1200resolution, 24bit color.

Overall, I cannot complain at all about this card.
