Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.8.1
Distribution: Slackware

The driver for the network interface is a bit tricky because of the abundance of tulip chipsets out there. The Slackware install, worked flawlessly, my problem came from trying to compile the 2.6 kernel with my motherboard manual in my sweaty palm. I have a write-up....well a small blurb on it at my site.
Essentially you have 2 drivers...the "Davicom DM910x/DM980x support" and the "DECchip Tulip (dc2114x) PCI support".

"See my Slacker write-up"

Other than that one issue, there have been no issues....everything else is easy enough to figure out from the motherboard manual.

Also if you are going to compile your own kernel I recommend using "menuconfig"......

have fun,
-james
