Kernel (uname -r): 2.4.22
Distribution: Slackware 9.1

I had no troubles with this device with regards to linux compatability. It was recognized immediately and mounted, thanks to hotplug, and sane works wonderfully.

The device itself is rather low end, and as such don't expect blazing fast scans. The quality is very good however, it just takes a while to scan as the quality goes up.

All in all, a good scanner for very little money. Which is nice, one less thing to worry about.

YaST configured it easily. Good scan quality although a little slow.

I had to remove the libsane-extras in Synaptic and then it worked.
