Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.8-24.11-smp
Distribution: Suse 9.2

I used this drive to do a clean install of Suse 9.1, and then upgraded to 9.2. I haven't had any problems playing DVDs with Totem or Caffiene, and use K3B a lot for ripping and occasionally burning CDs. The only problem I've encountered is I have one CD (Green by REM), which the drive will not recognize as a music CD, and it won't mount as a data CD. It is an old CD, but I have older ones that work fine, and it can't be a DRM issue as it isn't near new enough. I'm pretty sure my old Teac SCSI drive played it just fine.
