was recognized by mandrake 9.1 with the sane scanner utility epson also has a driver and a scanner utility for linux that works in conjunction with sane availiable here: http://www.epkowa.co.jp/english/linux_e/dl_scan.html

All the scanning works but the buttons on the front of the scanner have no effect.
