Description: Linksys's first wireless card, 16-bit pcmcia, there are 3 drivers for it:

www.linux-wlan.net

http://hostap.epitest.fi/

And of course, the orinoco_cs module that's included in-kernel. This first rev of the prism2 chipset is pretty much completely covered by the orinoco_cs module and should plug and play with any newer distro. Its a hard card to find compared to the v2.5, the v3 and the entirely different card, the realtek 8180 based v4.
Keywords: WPC11v1 linksys wireless

Kernel (uname -r): 2.4.20
Distribution: Fedora Core 1

I've been using 2 of these on linux for several yeas now. Early on I used the lwan-ng drivers to good effect, though it was a bit of work getting them installed.
Since RedHat 8, I've been able to configure and use the WPC11 with only the GUI configuration tools. This uses the orinoco_cs drivers and I've had no trouble with it.
I've just installed the new Fedora Core 1, and it also is working very well.

Using the version 3 pc card with the wlan-ng drivers included in the SLOD distro. Seems happy enough.
