Description: The PCM100's, and there's been a few revisions of them, as far as I can tell are all pcmcia variants on the old ne2000 chipset. It gets good 100BaseT speeds, reliable card. Its been in the pcmcia-cs package forever, should be plug and play with any distro. There are older dongled versions of the card, and the newer block connector that doesn't break as easily. All the same, the module should always be pcnet_cs.o

The newer cards (with the rj-45 block) are great except that the case appears to be quite fragile. After its first trip in the Targus airbag I managed to bend it (!). Bent it back into shape and figured it was toast but it stil works - it just seems really flimsy.
