I have been using this board for nearly 2 years with no problems whatsoever. I have used Red Hat for the most part, and switched to Gentoo about 1 month ago. I would recommend this motherboard to anyone who wants serious performance.

I am having some stability problems on a server with this board.
System crashed several times while accessing a floppy with i/o errors, when connecting USB flash devices, when writing DVDs.
Crashes happened both with 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.
I'm not sure what is the reason of the crashes, but hardware problrems is a possible reason.

*THE* best boards for Linux are TYANs, and I have not needed a driver yet.

2+ years with immediatd predecessor NO problems using Mdk 8.1 with W4L enhancements

Gamers/movies/other fast-moving-display types: AGP is 4x; get the TYAN 2469 for this.

Works great. I'm using it to make a MythTV box and a music server. The 66MHz PCI slots are nice for GigE and RAID IO controllers that are 66MHz 32-bit PCI.

runs great with all distro's i have thrown at it. rock solid. running athlon 1600's. uptime is so far about 2 months. funny thing though, it's not stable with windows 2000 server, 2003 server or any other windows smp enabled os. i am wondering if MS doesn't like AMD SMP for some reason.
